The Blog From Hell

Well, things are insane right now, I got social engagements right through until Saturday night, and it’s all people I care about – so not stuff I can skip, and I had some work crises so I’m way behind schedule on the kongoni stuff I wanted to have done by Monday. Unless I manage to pull of a miracle on Sunday therefore, I’ll probably have to postpone the feature freeze by a while. Especially since I’m still waiting on several contributor pieces that are fairly crucial to sophocles. Yes Ryan Peel and Hannes Calitz, you guys are late :p

Don’t feel too bad, I’m late too but it would be cool if we could all do a bit of a sprint next week and at least get the core stuff done so we can move into freeze and ISO building soon. I can certainly give up on releasing sophocles on my birthday anyway – just not going to be doable. Then again, Aristotle took two months longer than I originally planned it, so being two or three weeks late really is a pretty major improvement – and when all is said and done – we’re all volunteers working on this stuff in our spare time, when our spare time is less – we need to move our schedules. This is after all, not a money-project, and that means we release it when it’s ready – not when it’s a good day for marketing porpoises(sic).

Anyway, it’s late and I’m sleepy enough too get lost on my way to bed, so I’m going to go now while I still remember where it is.
