It is all about Code

Welcome welcome.

We are investigating code and where it is found. Almost everything we look at, interact with, share online is based on some sort of code. That’s what you’ll find here. All sorts of types of code and patterns. We are NOT teaching code or giving intricate coding lines. This is less of a how-to and more of a series of examples of where codes are present. If you are a coder, please feel free to share info and tips, but please know this site is not really for you.

When we say code, what are we talking about?

In communications and information processing, code is a system of rules to convert information—such as a letter, word, sound, image, or gesture—into another form, sometimes shortened or secret, for communication through a communication channel or storage in a storage medium.

Code used as a noun:
  1. 1. a system of words, letters, figures, or symbols used to represent others, especially for the purposes of secrecy.
“the Americans cracked their diplomatic code”
    Similar words:
cipher, secret language, secret writing, set of symbols
key, hieroglyphics, coded message, cryptogram, cryptograph
    program instructions.
    “assembly code”
Code as a verb could be
  1. 1.   convert (the words of a message) into a code so as to convey a secret meaning.
“only Mitch knew how to read the message—even the name was coded”
  2. 2.  write code for (a computer program).
    “most developers code C + + like C”
